Target Therapy

Today I am resting. I got my 8 mile run in and did yoga this weekend.
My body needs a break.
I am consistently at 134 now and feelin' slim and happy.

Well, maybe not so happy, but getting there. I always have the blues on Monday. Anyone else?
But this will help:

I am going to Target after work. And I'm going to spend a lot of money there. I need so many things: new rug for kitchen, tons of toiletries (do you happen to run out of everything at the same time or is it just me?), cleaning stuff, etc. etc. I'm sure I will end up with a heck ova lot more in my cart than just what is on my list. That's what ya gotta love about Target.
Then I'm going home to finish watching my Flight of the Conchords dvd. Does anyone else love these guys or am I the only person in the universe?

  1. I use to hate Mondays, until I switched jobs - now they aren't so bad.

Did my own Target therapy yesterday, I love that store...and I feel so much better now.

    Have fun!

  6. I saw a couple of episodes of Flight of the Concords last season. It's such a funny, quirky show! Apparently they are on tour and will be in SF soon and I guess their show sold out in like half an hour or something.

  7. I love Target, and I also run out of a lot of toiletries at the same time!
You'll have to (subtly?) fill us in on your weekend!

  8. I used to sing a song called the "Sunday Night Blues" composed by me.

Being a SAHM now everyday feels like Monday. I kidd, I kidd.

Enjoy Target. I hope you get princess parking and everything you need is on sale :)

  11. I love my Target :-). Best retail therapy for the dollar!

You're not the only one :-). I'm currently out of everything as well! Moisturizer, sunscreen, face wash, everything :-(!

Your skinny ass needs to cheer up! Bring on the anti-blues kit! Oh shoot, I'm all out of vodka. Meh.

  12. Wow, I thought shopping for clothing or shoes was more therapeutic. Now I’ll be looking at everyone in Target wondering if this is their therapy session. That’s why they call it ‘Stormy Monday’!

  13. First off, you are rocking slim and looking great.

Yoga - I have started to "attempt" to do yoga...runner's pose, warrior one, warrior two...what the heck ? I keep falling on the floor.

And then there are Mondays....I HATE THEM.

  14. I live in Denver and went to see FOTC here last week - it was amazing. I haven't laughed that hard, for that long, in forever. They were hilarious - played lots of the fan favorites and some new songs too. If you ever get the chance to see them live you definitely should!

  15. Girl, you look great! (Just saw the photos from before and after below)

Have fun at Target and buy a few things for me. I'm out of a lot of stuff too.

  16. I cannot go into Target without spending a minimum of $150. It sucks. Of course, I'm buying diapers and crap still, and not cute stuff for the house, so that may be why I hate it.

My girlfriend in TX loves Flight of the C's. I need to get that DVD set.

Keep up the great work, skinnie minnie!

  17. I TOTALLY run out of everything, literally, to the DAY:

Shampoo, Rinse, Moisturizer, Foundation, Paper Towel, TP, Wind-ex, Dishwashing liquid...and so on. It's ridiculous. I think it's a plot to drive me mad. Someone is sneaking into my house while I'm at work and....

  18. I remember having those monday blues.. kind of annoying.

The last time I HAD to go to target was to get toilet paper, face wash, body lotion, and shampoo... all at the same damn time! hehehe.

I hope your monday off is enjoyable... I will be taking the day off too. I thought i could swim, but i am still learning how to walk after the half...

  19. Why don't they grow some sense and build a Target in NYC already...I need stuff...

Might have to adopt your non-plan plan after my next marathon since it's working out so well for you.

  22. I always leave Target with more than I needed. Happy shopping!

  23. I think it's a conspiracy-I run out of all my beauty stuff at the same time and the same goes for cleaning supplies. Never just need one of them and they sure can add up the bill. Whatch gonna do though. Hope Target therapy cures the Monday blues.

  24. I too always run out of everything at the same time. I figure that's good -- better to make one big trip than lots of little ones!
