Blame It On The Rain

Remember that cheeseball song by Milli Vanilli ~ You KNOW you what I'm talking about.

Well I have nothing to blame on the rain because it's totally cooperating with my workout schedule (See, God must love me).

Monday - Rain - Bikram Yoga

Tuesday - No Rain - Running

Wed - Rain - Bikram Yoga

Hopefully it won't rain tomorrow cuz I'm going to run.

BUT if it does, I just bought the most perfectest rain jacket. This is a big deal for me because I've been wearing the same Nike one since I started running about 3 years ago. And that puppy STINKS. Tom from Runners Lounge has arranged for me to test out a sample of Sports Wash. I will definitely put it to the test with my stinky Nike Jacket. Stay tuned for the review once I get it!

Until then, let's talk about my new jacket. I'm so loving it. First of all, it was on sale. Holla - $49.99. It comes in three colors with a detachable hood. And my favorite part is that there is a little pocket on the inside for your iPod where your headphones can come out. It's just pure excitement over here. I wanted to wear it to work today, but corporate America might frown on wearing running clothes to work.

That's all I got today. Peace, love and rainy skies!

  1. Nice jacket! You'll have to post a review.

I am actually lucky enough to work for a place where I can wear pretty much anything. Running tights might be frowned upon, but I could wear that jacket!

  2. you're ahead of me now in the HBBC - I took yesterday off (I figured if I fell asleep on the VERY CROWDED bus that meant I needed sleep more than a run).

I am jealous of your jacket, though...let me know how you like it!

  5. I've asked santa for a new weather jacket. I hope that red fool comes through. Nice score on the rain free runs. I've been picking ice out of my beard since November.

  6. I WAS impressed with the Nike cool weather hat and matching gloves that I purchased online yesterday...until I saw your way cooler rain jacket.

    I want one.

    Someone tell Santa for me?

I can't wait to see how it stands up!

  7. I like that jacket...stylish yet practical.

Snow snow snow here. Personally, I think snow is better than rain so I'm happy it's snowing. Also means I get to work from home.

    Have fun at Bikram.

  9. Okay, I went to comment on your "testimony" post but it disappeared! But I still have to comment... I understand 100% everything you blogged about. My family is uber-religious and I'm constantly getting flak for my choice of church, etc. I just kept nodding my head the entire time I was reading that post!

    P.S. Love the jacket!

  10. I'll take some rain over the snow...at least then the temp would have to be over 32 degrees, right?!

  11. Got my test package of Sports Wash a couple of days ago and have run a load with it. Haven't tested the stink factor yet.

Kind of hope it DOESN'T work, so that I can get some new stuff!

  17. I *TOTALLY* hear you on the stinky old Nike jacket. I have one from sometime circa 2000 and the zipper just broke. My sister in law spotted one on the cheap and picked it up for me... but I have yet to testdrive that baby....and it probably doesn't have a special slot for headphones! Envy!

  25. Cute jacket! It has some of the same features of one I just bought at Costco (but alas, mine has no hood- I mostly bought it for snow, though). I love the headphone loop!

I am also excited about the Sport Wash- I have some stanky stuff that needs refreshing (and I've only been running regularly since May).

Oh, and just so everyone knows, it doesn't have to be over 32 degrees to snow. Here it is currently 26 degrees and snowing. Brrrrrr.

BTW, now I'm curious about this testimony thing that I missed out on.
