After 3 weeks of traveling and eating my way across the West Coast I had to step on the scale yesterday. (Yes "HAD" to because I had a doctors appointment).
140 my friends.
ONE flippin' FOURTY.
Guess what? If one eats more than normal and one does not workout, especially run when she's a runner she WILL gain weight.
I know, a total revelation, huh?
And yes, one can put on 8 lbs in three weeks.
I am just a hungry, hungry hippo right now. I had dinner with friends last night, then came home and made a quesadilla. WTF?
To make matters WORSE (if that's even possible) I have to try on bridesmaid dresses again tonight. This tubbo better fit her ass in a size four or bitches are goin' down!
To make matters even WORSE I heard something about someone who may or may not read this blog that kinda rubs salt in the wounds. But you know this girl can throw some damn salt right back.
Anyway, back to the weighty issue. I am going back to yoga and strict eating. I will update you accordingly.

You're going to be back in fighting shape in no time!
You'll be back to your lean, mean, running machine weight in no time! I too, have slipped and am NOT in a happy weight place at the moment.
Let me know if you need some salt, I'll help pummel it!
Keep your chin up girl. you'll sweat off those lbs in no time flat. You know nobody rocks like POM!
"And yes, one can put on 8 lbs in three weeks. "
Word. Sadly, it appears one cannot lose 8 pounds in three weeks.
What is REALLY sad (for me) is that not only can you gain 8 lbs in 3 weeks from not running, you can also gain 8 lbs in 3 weeks from running alot. OMG, so hungry! All the time!
You'll get right back to your happy place soon, what with the yoga & xtraining, and after the calf healing, the running....(oh, and that salt flinging, I would also volunteer to help if you need it).
I manage to gain 5 lbs in one week. It's not fair. Good luck with the weight loss.
How come us chicks are hungry all the time! You think we would have evolved to need less food.
seriously i have been stress eating like nobody's business with these crazy 80 hour weeks..I think it's keeping me awake...but I don't like it
LMAO....... I can sense a book in the making. Mrs. Furious is soooooooooo right!
I totally hear ya. I tipped the scales at 161 the other day.... not impressed with myself, but it's logical... way too many beer enjoyed on the deck. lol
I can gain 8 in a good(bad") week. Not that it is nothing to brag about. I know you will roll with the punches and be back to your fighting weight soon. But dayum you sure have me wanting a quesadilla right about now. Yoga sounds like a great plan. Sweat it off baby! Grab some kosher salt that crap is like rocks!
PS I know a chica who had some calf probs before Surf city and pulled a hella PR.
Girl, you'll be back to your fighting weight in no time. You got this!
you'll be okay, it is temporary...
The warm fuzzy part of me wants to tell you that it's ok, you deserve some leeway, yadda yadda yadda.
The real me wants to tell you that you kick ass; you inspire people, you are brutally honest with yourself, and you deserve to get your ass back into shape.
Update soon, avid readers want to see you succeed.
At least you can fix yours...mine will be spiraling out of control for the next 7 months and theres nothing I can do about it...eeeek! Hang in there girl! You'll be down in no time :)
hang in there girl, it happens to all of us... you will be back in no time!!
you have the discipline and determination to lose those pesky 8 pounds ... no problems
Hey POM. Long time reader, first time... well you get the point. At the risk of being asked never to comment again... you need to shake off this "IMSOBUSYPOORLITTLEOLME" funk you're in and get in gear!
You're much better than this. Go get out and run harder and farther than you feel like just once and you'll be back!
We're all counting on you!
OH THE PRESSURE!
Sounds like you've already re-found your motivation - you'll be back where you want to be in no time!
A minor setback. You can get back to your fightin' weight in no time!
You'll get back soon, I just know it.
I've had the non-honor and humiliation of putting 8 pounds on in 1 week.
