Diary of a Crazy Lady

I kinda forgot that my friend signed me up for this fun 5k this weekend **. I'm excited to run with my girls that are just getting back into it. I'm not sure if I will try to PR or just run with them. I say I want to run with them but sometimes that little competitive bug comes out and I have to run fast.

Then again, I think that competitive bug might be hibernating (or dead for that matter).

I have NOT been able to get into running since last weekend. When I have the day off, running is my first priority. But other than that, I feel so overwhelmed and busy right now.

I swear that EVERY DAY for this entire month I have something planned on my lunch break AND after work. EVERY FLIPPIN' DAY. I feel pulled in so many directions. My mom has been trying to get a hold of me for a few days, but she just calls at the worst time and then asks the stupidest questions, then hangs up on me for being irritated with her! I finally had to book an appointment with her to see my new place next Tue after work.

Besides the fun 5k, I have to get a 10 miler in this weekend - probably Sunday morning. I have a bed frame coming, a new fancy built in microwave and a dresser this weekend!!! My dad wants to hang on Sunday (I'm sure he wants me to go to church with him).

Oh yeah and something planned for Sat night.... enough said.

I had to special order some fancy baby shower invites for my bestie (This place is awesome - let me know if you need fancy invites in the OC). Then address them all. Then talk to her MIL about lame stuff. I'm just waiting for all the RSVP calls to come in.

Speaking of calls - I'm having a Blackberry problem. I burn thru my battery pretty quickly. When I'm only 1 or 2 bars down, the phone decides to turn off my mobile network connections. I don't even realize it's happened until I notice that I haven't gotten any emails in the past 4 hours. Phone calls won't come thru either. Anyone have a solution for this?

Sheesh - Calgon take me away! I can't wait for my next business trip (about 1.5 weeks) so I can actually just WORK and not do anything else or worry about anything else (that doesn't make sense, does it?)

See what happens when POM doesn't have wine for a week (Cutting back to weekend and special occasions only)? Saturday night - wine, sweet wine, you will be mine.

**Check out all the typos on the website - wth?

LOL! I laughed out loud at this part--(or dead for that matter)--too funny. It's REALLY hard to fit exercise in when you're so busy, but it sounds like you are doing a pretty decent job of it!

My blackberry messed up the other day and didn't get emails ALL day and then at the end of the day a whole bunch came in, and I've heard a few other peoples have done that too, so I'm not sure what's going on with that!

i say go fast in the 5k. it'll be a good way to blow off some steam.

you might have to replace the battery in the blackberry, they are pretty finicky.

I also need to cut back to weekends & special occasions. But everything can be a special occasion, right? (I survived work for the week! CHEERS!)

Clearly, you need to start cutting people out of your life. They are too needy. Start with the family ;)

Hi there! I'm having a hard time getting back into my running too. I'm scheduled to run in a half marathon in October.

I know you're a big fan of the garmin. I've been thinking about getting one so I can track my distance and, of course, calories burned. I am torn between a 405 bundle with the foot pod so I can track my indoor calorie consumption of the new 405CX. Any advice?

Have you run this 5K before? I live right up the street and never have. I actually run a lot of the route on some of my training runs (from Big CDM to Reef Point) I heard that if for no other reason, it's worth the post race food!

Ug, I hate when my mom does that to me. Stop calling right when you KNOW I'm eating dinner!

Good luck at your 5K.

my mom likes to call when I'm at work...and well I barely have time to breath at work, but gotta love her.

Sounds like you need to start saying No to something... I'm not sure what...umm breathing maybe? that takes up a lot of time during the day...or sleep?

cut back what does that mean!

So - should we run the CDM Scenic 5K next year?

It's always the weekend after San Diego RnR. Last year I was going to go just to eat! But I had a big cycling accident that laid me up for a few weeks. Grrr..

I hate it when I forget about races that I am signed up for ..LOL. Just run it as hard as you can and have fun with it.

I've never forgotten about a race before but I think I'd freak if I did.

Where are you going on your trip this time? You are always headed to fun places.
