But it sucked. I couldn't get my breathing right -my heart rate sky rocketed and stayed between 170 and 190. I ended up turning around early and only got in 3.3 miles. When I stopped, I felt like I was going to toss my cookies all over the sidewalk. I didn't even EAT any cookies.
So this freaks me out. I MUST run at least 8 miles tomorrow, then 10 the following week to feel slightly confident that I can finish the half marathon (16 days from now). I am in such worse cardio condition then I was just 3 months ago. I don't get it. Alright - no negative thinking. I'm going to kick ass tomorrow.
Here are the stats:
3.3 Miles
368 Cal
170-190 HR
Mile 1: 9:44
Mile 2: 10:09
Mile 3: 10:05
Then some chump change at the end.

Someone wise always said there'd be days like this!!!
Dont worry - tomorrow is another day!! You'll be great!
You have to have these kinds of days. Otherwise you wouldn't appreciate the truly great runs nearly as much.
I'm sure your run tomorrow will be much better!
Unfortunately there are sucky runs. "Sucky" is a technical term, of course.
I'm glad to see that one of my recommendations made it to your song of the day! I love "The Wreckoning"!
You know you'll be able to run it. Don't get wrapped around the mileage - I only ran a 9 miler before the 1/2. Not that that was good, but there were worse things. You have the background, your body knows what to do and expect. Just take it one mile at a time and force yourself to relax - even if you need to slow down a bit.
Some days just suck, running-wise. I can't ever pinpoint a reason, it seems so random... but they happen.
Don't worry, your legs will remember and you'll be fine!
It was one bad run, that's all. Some days you're the windshield, some days you're the bug. The next one will be better. Hang in there.
It was just a bad day. Sometimes it's what you ate or maybe not even being hydrated enough. Who knows. :>)
Eh, days like that make me want to take up plate spinning :P
You'll get a good one here soon.
I am sure its just something weird going on with you and you will have the same endurance back in no time! Definitely before the marathon!
You had me all excited for your run there at the begining. I was like hell yeas!
Tomorrow will be great for you. I feel it!
That’s too high of a HR, but there are also soooooo many factors for it. I sometime think that Big G’s HR monitoring is a little flaky, but I’m not knocking Big G! Hey, at least you woke up and ran…

ehhh... your run tomorrow will be better. I have those bad runs quite frequently. I only ran 9 before my half too (like Tayrn). It will all come together for your half. Your body is conditioned for it.
POM - tomorrow is another day. You'll be fine. (like the Bag Lady knows anything about it - she couldn't outrun molasses...)
You're not alone. I couldn't get my breathing right today either. Good luck on your next run.
The bad run days are the worst, but they make the good ones all that much better!
we all have runs that don't go well. Don't beat yourself up. Take it nice and easy and I'm sure you will kick ass at the half
Take off the HR monitor and run with Big G without that.
If it's not there to focus on, you may find your natural rythym and your HR will be fine.
Try doing what I do. Tell yourself you are going out for a 3 mile run and just turn it into 8. Its a sick trick...but it usually works. When I'm the most tired and unprepared..I do the best. And vice versa. I cant wait to compare notes on undertraining for a half marathon. SHould be comical!
