Sleep Sweet Sleep

Yippy. I finally got a bit of sleep last night. And just in time.

Oh F-it. I didn't sleep naturally.

I caved.
I caved into the temptation of NYQUIL.
I couldn't help it.
I tossed and turned for 2 hours and just gave up.

Don't worry dear readers. This is nothing like my 2 month pre-marathon Advil Addiction.

I will be able to shake those 2 little green buddies as soon as I'm feeling better. I'm planning on getting these little monkeys off my back this weekend.

Other news - totally sucking ass on my New Years Goals.

Running 20 miles a week? HA
Try ZIP, ZILCH, ZERO miles per week - so far.
Perhaps I should adjust the goal to "work UP to 20 miles per week." ha ha.

I am going to try to run Saturday. If it's raining, I will still go. I think.
What is up with the lack of motivation here? ARRRRRRRRRRRR

Love the artwork! lol

Give yourself a break on the 20 miles, chick, you're freakin' sleep-deprived and sick! I know it's probably driving you insane that you're not running as much as you had planned, but it sounds like you'll be ready as soon as you don't feel like sh*t!!

Is it pouring buckets down there? It is up here, and methinks mucus + rain = excuse to get out of running. Seriously. I meant to write yesterday, you shouldn't run with a chest cold, woman.

Yeah but you have been sick. This week totally doesn't count!

Do you get good sleep with that stuff? It's the most unpleasant sleep for me when I use it. Hmmmmmm

And I saw that in the most affectionate way. It's what I call my kids.

Hope you weren't giving me the finger or anything. :D

You have been sick the motivation is there it is the cold crap. It will pass soon. I had withdrawls after Nyquil. I had to bite the bullet, and stayed up most of the night. Once you feel up to par, the running will return. Most importantly, is for you to feel fab!

so the first week of 08 didn't go your way...that's ok you have 51 more weeks to make it your year.

Sounds like you need a shot of vodka. Just kidding. Hope you feel better. Get some R&R !!!

Isn't there some kind of resolution rule that says you can postpone the beginning of your year if you're sick? The "new year" will officially start for you when you feel better. See how easy that was? Feel better!

I think you should go with Hot Toddies...kill two birds with one stone. Help the chest cold and knock yourself out ;)

nyquil is the best!

And I will also try running tomorrow in the rain. I think we both live in HB so we will be running in the same rain. Sounds silly...

You've been sick, don't be so hard on yourself.

I haven't taken Nyquil since college when I took so much I forgot where my dorm room was and wandered into someone else's room (same dorm hall, just a different wing, different floor). I remember noting that everything was different, but at the time I was so sick and so hopped up on the Nyquil, it didn't really sink in until someone I didn't know was yelling at me to get out of her bed.

Yeah, that's why I don't take Nyquil anymore.

One time I was super sick...so as my friends were doing shots of vodka to pregame I did shots of NyQuil. Well 15 minutes into the party...someone was sacked out on the couch. Ya...this girl! What a party pooper :) Feel better!

Advil? Those are my One-a-Days? Drug induced sleep is still sleep. Get well.

Drug induced sleep is better than no sleep at all. Mr Diva swears by NyQuil when he is sick. I'm so freaked out by the taste, that whenever I think about taking it, I realize I'm not that sick! I've been fighting off a cold for about 3 days, and as of this morning the cold is winning. It was a big effort to get from the bedroom to the living room, so I think 8 miles in the rain might be more than I can handle. I hope you feel better soon. I don't think I could take 11 days of this.

Being sick right now sucks!! I've been using Nyquil to get myself to sleep for the past few days and try to get over my cold. Not fun!
