When I was a kid, I had 2 imaginary friends. Mimi was the girl. She was sweet, friendly and always followed the rules. Tada was the boy. He was a trouble-maker, always playing tricks and banging his head against the wall when he didn't get his way.
If they were around today (which I SWEAR they are NOT), I think they would be having a conversation like this:
Mimi: Remember you signed up for a half marathon in May?
Tada: Yea, so? What of it?
Mimi: Well, you really should be training, shouldn't you?
Tada: Sheesh, it's just a half marathon fatty. You can do it in your sleep.
Mimi: Who are you kidding? For one, there are HILLS in this race. And you know how you feel about hills.
Tada: So.
Mimi: And to make matters worse, your family is will be there. You don't want to disappoint them by, say, DROPPING DEAD as you cross the finish line.
Tada: So.
Mimi: That's it. I am implementing a new training program starting tomorrow morning. And there is no getting out of it.
Tada: GOSH! (bangs head against wall)
See. I told you Tada was annoying (but at least he doesn't swear). Anyway, now there's a plan in place, thanks to Mimi.

Lol, I am assuming Tada is the blue one with the crazy hair?
I just can't imagine Tada not swearing??!!
Well, now you've got the plan, get it into action...half in May, cool....
looks like you had a great time in Fiji....nice!
Happy Easter, welcome back!!
Did Tada have a midwestern accent? I think my bad influence may have went MIA.
Good on you for hopping back on the wagon :-)! Not long to go, many happy miles to be had!
hahhaa you make me laugh every single time!
Oh so I tried the hills at back bay, and lordy, that is hard. haha.
I hope the plan works, even though I am sure you kick butt no matter what, because that is just what you do ;-)
yeah you wouldn't want to disappoint your fam by dropping dead LOL - i'm impressed you can do half marathons! i have never raced but could do a 5k no problem. so maybe i should sign up!
omg! i love this post....soooo funny! Can't wait to see the new training plan.
I dunno, that Tada sounds like my kind of kid. I hate hills, too. :-)
That Mimi, always being responsible. She must have a halo too, huh?
LMAO! I think Tada and I could be real life friends. I feel that way about my half marathon in june.
This is too funny. You're lucky you have Mimi to keep you in line!
I had an imaginary friend like Tada, but he would curse like a sailor!!
Go for it and goodluck!.

How'd it go today? Hopefully well. When I was in a running club, there was something great about getting up early and logging in all those miles before most people got up for breakfast. I definitely felt I was a superior Human Being. :)
Awesome!
Whatever it takes to get a plan together. LOL.
Happy Easter!!
haha, just stumbled across your blog and it's hilarious. good luck with that running program!
You have been Tagged!.
That's hilarious! Did they each sit on one of your shoulders whispering contradictory advice in your ears?
Way to kick that Tada in the ass P.O.M.!!! Best of luck with the training. I'd love to see you outline on the blog. I'm currently training for a 5K which is far enough for me right now, so I'm very impressed with anyone who does longer races!
I really enjoy reading your blog. That cracks me up.
