- Shopping! I almost forgot. Even online shopping. Yesterday I went to Sports Authority dot com and got a lot fun stuff on sale. (2) Nike tops, (1) Adidas Top and a pair of Nike Capri's. They were all kinda weird colors, but all that stuff was $100. NIIICCCEEEE.
- Downloading music. Just call me a Tegan and Sara Stalker!
- Getting your hair done
- Blogging
- Crying
- Signing up for races
- Oh yeah - RUNNING
GOAL RECAP:
- Booze: Went to a fancy work dinner last night and had a martini and some wine. So cross that off my goal list for the week. Oops. But it was nice and I didn't over-do it. So that's ok.
- Yoga - well twice was the goal. But only getting it in ONCE this week. We'll get 'em next week.
- Running - I will definitely get to 20 miles this week because I will run about 5 tomorrow and then have 8 on Sunday. Yeah!
Thanks again everyone for your awesome support. I'm excited about Portland and some BLOGGER MEET UPS! More on that later.

I wish I could make it go away this very moment.
but as for tegan and sara i have every single song by them (i think). haha. if you need anything send me an email at cara.ferguson06[at]gmail{dot}com
Hang on in there, it'll get better, let the running and shoping be your therapy.
If you're ever in the valley and want to get you shoes dirty just let me know.
Yeah, nieces and nephews take all the bad things away! I always call my little niece and nephew when I am not feeling awesome...it makes it better!
P.S. It usually gets so much better faster than expected. You're keeping busy which is the smartest move. Hang in there!
Girl, you are doing all the right things, shopping, babies, wine, and running. You'll be ok. Just hang in there, and try to be mad, not sad.
Shit, I'll send you my kids for free :P They're none returnable though hehe.
Hang in there chica ;D
Dang girl, I'm just catching up...well, you're on the right track. With your spunk, good looks and crazy fun loving friends, you'll be just fine, no, you'll be BETTER off.
Travelling to races is a hoot, tons of fun and a great way to get away with your running friends...you just never know....chin up kiddo!!! You're doing GREAT!
It goes away before you know it...I think...b/c I'm a guy and don't really know how you ladies, um, er.....nevermind. :)
Hang tough, keep smiling and keep up the great work with running. !
It does go away, it takes time, or a crush on someone or drunk rebound sex ... not that I am endorsing either of those.
How do I not know who Tegan and Sara are? Now I have to download some tunes.
Time heals all wounds! There is a master plan for all of us. I did my best running during my divorce.
If running has taught us anything, it's that pain is temporary.
Nothing like sweet little kids to make you feel better. Glad I could help! :D
Keep running, that will help too. ((HUGS))
Someone once told me, or maybe it was on some TV show (so it's expert advice, obviously) that the time to heal from a break up is exactly half of how long you were with that person. Example: 2 years = 1 year to fully heal.
It was generally true when I was dating and breaking up.
You must take that picture down, I cannot handle the preciousness that is your nieces!
What little cuties -- those munchkins are like kiddie prozac!

You need to find a rebound man to make it all better. You can keep him or let him go after he cheers you up. :>D
What a bunch of cutie patooties!
Doing things JUST FOR YOU is the best therapy!
Excellent choice with Tegan and Sara! Also, Regina Spektor. Love her too!!! And I'm still excited about P-town.
Nancy's right!
Look at those adorable girls. How could anyone not cheer up by looking at those little faces.
Your list of therapeutic things is perfect and sounds like it's working. Keep it up girl, and if you ever feel like venting on here - you can do that too... it doesn't all have to be positive. You have friends here. Hang in there.
***HUGZ***
Have a great long weekend!
Such a cutie! Cutie pies will help take your mind off things for awhile. You're doing a great job being positive. Hope you have a great day tomorrow.
your booze comment? too funny
the shopping thing? can get a smidge outta hand here-----esp the workout stuff as I rationalize it so well :)

For me stressful situations are best solved by lots of girl time, a little ranting but mostly they make you laugh and that's the key. Agreed though a good sweat session will also remind you how strong you are and that hellllooo if you can get through a marathon you are one tough chick and can do this too.
So Portland is the next marathon huh...I still haven't picked mine but you are giving me ideas.
Congratulations on the Portland registration. That's a race I hadn't heard of way over here in the midwest.
Vegetable porn = priceless.
Those two girls are precious. It will bring you a day of smiles and laughs. When you said the whole in your stomach, ugh I have felt that one before. It will all be good soon.
Went to itunes to check out Tegan and Sara pretty darn good.
I'm not sure I buy the whole "half the time you were together" theory. If that were the case, I'd still be in mourning (and continue to be so for the next year!)... Everyone is different. No one knows exactly what you're going through but you, but we are ALL here for you regardless...
Although, I will add that Eva Cassidy's Songbird album help me cry out my breakup in record time. I don't recommend listening to it at work though!
Baby girl lovin' sounds like the perfect temporary relief.
Keep looking after yourself and you will start feeling better. But do all the crying you need - get it out when you need to. And then hug one of those little gorgeous girls. And do some more running, shopping and light drinking.. And one day you will notice you're getting a little bit better..
cute girls. time wounds all heals ;o)
hanging with those two cuties for while should bring a big smile to your face. They are adorable!!
You are doing great with your goals. Hang in there....one day at a time.
Hope you're enjoying your day off!!!
So THOSE are the nieces! Too cute! They should put a smile in your heart. :)
Great job deal finding, and running! Enjoy the snuggles from the little ones. They always make it better:)
Hang in there!!!
Hey, POM. You are doing just the right thing ... reaching out to the people (especially the adorable little ones) who make you feel good, and keep active. And take those personal days. One day you will look back on your blog entries and realize how wise you have been.
Yeah, and keep it up with the shopping, girlfriend. Good excuses like this don't come along very often (fortunately). :-)
Retail therapy is the beeeeeest. Bravo on getting in the yoga session, too - much better than I've been managing.
Your veggie porn from the other day, by the way? KILLER. I want. Like, right now hokay. Yum. Oh.
kids make you smile. keep hanging in there...time heals.
