Warning: Boring Blog

Please forgive me. I drank away a few too many brain cells on Friday night. But it was worth it. Wine is goooooooooooooooooooood.

I had to change my weekend running plans. I was going to run "Back Bay" with it's nice hills and beautiful views. And hopefully bump into Cara. But my legs were KILLING me from Bikram. Yes... sore muscles from yoga. This class is not just stretching, there are some serious strengthening exercises. I thought to myself "Self, you run a lot. Your legs should NOT be sore from yoga." But they were. Really sore. Still sore. Anyway, there was no way I was going to attempt the hilly run for 7 miles. So I stuck to my nice, oceanfront flat path. For being flat, my times sure sucked. It was a little windy on the way back and I'm sore - that's my excuse.
So there.

Miles: 7.04
Time: 1:12
788 calories

Goals for the week:
* No drinking all week.
* run 20 miles
* Yoga 2x
* Figure out how to get emails on phone or return phone by Thur
* Weigh 135 by Friday

I've decided that wine is good for you. Good for your heart, and less filling than beer. I've given up trying to rid myself of wine drinking during the week.

My goal last week was to replace one meal with a salad...and I did it. I didn't work out, but I ate one salad everyday...just wait, maybe I'll be the one to bring Bikram yoga to my town!!! Sounds painful, but in a "hurt-good"way!!!

On the side note, I got an iPhone for Christmas and I still don't know how to work the iPod bit on it, and I'm sure I'm not using it to its potential, but I am crazy for it!!! Good luck with yours!!!

You are a goal-oriented person.
I dig that. Hopefully, you'll get through all of them this week. Good luck!

LMAO Anthony has a point. When a post becomes boring (it's not BTW), just slap up a nice piece of man steak or some huge chichicitas and everyone is happy LOL

Love the goals for the week. I must, must try Bikram. Sounds intense! I'm all about painful exercising experiences!

I'm jealous of your gorgeous walking path. It sounds so peaceful.

That's still a good time for 7 miles! You're so tough on yourself, sheesh.

Good luck with the week's goals!

no drinking all week...are you sure you can handle that? I mean that's most of what seems to make your posts highly amusing. Just kidding, from what I can tell you will do anything you set your mind to with great gusto!

Bikram kills my muscles the first few times I go back too. I've also given up trying to give up my vino...it's a no-win situation!?!

I ran out of time to run there. Maybe next week we can see each other.

7 miles is awesome no matter if it was hilly or flat. Nice work. Did you see you won something over the weekend at Runner's Lounge? I'm wondering how we get the abs to go along with the belt. :D

No drinking? Wine is just a fruit after all.

Every runner needs a few boring weeks in the schedule. Can't be all wine (!) and roses (interesting trails).

Hey, at least you ran the miles.

You could have used the soreness as an excuse to be a couch potato all weekend.

I need to find a Bikram class and try it out!

Good luck with your goals! I like your Plan B of running the oceanfront path. I wish that could be my Plan B!

Nice job on the 7 miler! I could only imagine what it would be like to run along the ocean front... snow piles will have to do for now!
