Dear Apartment, How do I Love Thee?

There will be so many things I will miss when I move from my beach apartment:
  • Duh, the beach is like across the street -literally
  • Walking distance to market, library and tons of bars
  • Walking distance to friends and certain ex people
  • Bike riding everywhere (Until my bike got stolen last week!)
  • No driving on weekends
  • Being a peninsula local

There are also some things I can't wait to give the bird:

Explanation needed???

Picture one - the hole in the ceiling that drips water every time my upstairs neighbor showers

Picture two - oh, forgot to mention that the hole is directly above my bed, which is covered daily in towels and a bowl to catch the water.

Luckily, she wakes up and showers about 30 mins after me, so I'm usually prepared. Although on occasion, she surprises me.

Jealous, aren't you?

Ha. You've earned that new place!

what a great alarm clock system if you could only convince her to get up BEFORE you. :)

When I left Venice for West LA interior, I was sad. I wasn't quite as close to the beach as you, but walking distance to Venice Beach was pretty damn sweet.

*sigh*

At least you'll still be closer to the beach than I am now! Unless you count the Willamette River beach, in which case, I might win :)

WTH?! How has your landlord not been forced to fix this asap?

Seriously you guys, this is probably the 5 or 6th leak that I've had. The first one actually collapsed the entire ceiling! The one day he came to look at this one, he said it was already fixed. But it wasn't. I'm going to call him again to have him fix it while I'm in Mex. Remember also that he is totally creepy so I hate being there when he is AND he had to fix everything himself instead of hiring a professional

oh my God...you need to get out of there!

Ick. That SUCKS about the leak, especially the fact that it's RIGHT over your bed!

Lucky about being in walking distance to so many great things. I LOVE my apartment right now, but it's stuck up in a residential area on a huge hill. So if I want to go to the beach, the gym, or even somewhere to run on FLAT land I have to drive and I HATE it. I really wish I was within walking distance to more things!

Awesome! I think I would move my bed.

Yuck! Goodbye and good riddens!

Though sad, you'll be farther from the beach. However, as Amy said, you'll be closer than us =(.

I need to move.

Location is great, but the location of a leak above your bed is SO worth a move!

Ooo. how strange! Yeah, I'd be moving the bed and looking to get out of there. Sucks about losing prime location, but what can you do?

Run to your new place with haste! You'll be amazed how wonderful it is to live somewhere that isn't falling apart around you...

Do you have a lawyer who could write your landlord a letter - that kind of situation just cannot be tolerated.
