Bringing Dirty Back

You know I love letting you guys in on all the dirt.
I've got a good one for ya, but I'm hoping this will inspire you to leave a comment with your own similar story so I don't feel like a total scumbag.

Sometimes, I do gross things.

Here's an actual IM describing my latest favorite gross thing to do.

POM: Dude, I can't wait 'til you see my hair tonight. It's flippin'
awesome and everyone at work keeps asking why I'm so fancy.

BFF: I'm scared.

POM: You should be.

BFF: Can't wait.

POM: OK, get this. I did Bikram last night, and didn't wash my hair
after.

BFF: Gross

POM: It gets better. Then I ran this morning. And still
didn't wash my hair.

And I came to work like this.
And everyone thinks it's fancy. Muahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

It's my new favorite thing. For some reason, sweat makes my hair nice and wavy and naturally beachy cute.

Side note: I did actually SHOWER, I just didn't wash the hair.

Please tell me you do gross things too - share with me people....

I wash my hair 2-3 times/week. Tops. I do shower more than that, too. My hair, after a brief adjustment period, has always looked better when it's not washed (for a couple of days, anyways).

not even a tiny bit gross! :)

I wish I could do that. Actually, I do go a day or so without washing my hair when I want to sleep in but it looks terrible so I can't relate. I wear the same shirt to bed for several days...does that count? Sorry. Lame.

I only WISH I could pull off not washing my hair. I would probably get sent home from work. LOL.

You asked if I was liking my book club book in your comment yesterday... I haven't read "House Rules" yet and don't know if I will as I am seriously the 1,113th person on the waiting list at the library. No joke. And I am on a book buying fast because my cup runneth over in terms of books... My other book club book, "Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet" was a good, fast read, though!

Sometimes during the winter months when I visit my parents and they are too cheap to turn the heating on and it is absolutely freezing in the house, I would go a couple of days without bathing. It's not so bad as long as I don't move around too much and sweat...hahaha.

I wash my hair like twice a week...it just looks/behaves better when it's not clean. It's so bad my husband notices when I do wash...he'll say something like "oh your hair got washed today." I know we're not alone because it's the best kept red carpet secret in Hollywood. Actresses don't was for days and days before a big event. Julia Roberts once complained about having to do this in an interview. Dirty hair rules!:)

I only wash my hair every other time. It's so thick and bushy, it doesn't need daily washing. Just makes it angrier.

Sometimes I skip deodorant application.

I poop in the woods on my long runs if I need to.

I wear running clothes more than once.

I'm not averse to picking my nose if I feel I've got something gunky clogging up the works.

Yeah, I'm pretty gross. :)

I wash my hair about 4x a week. Basically I only wash my hair after I sweaty run, and since I only do that 4x a week now, that's how often it gets clean. God bless the ponytail.

My hair looks great when I don't wash it every day. I'll shower and just use conditioner for a couple of days but don't think it's too gross.

I busted my ass on the elliptical at the gym for 105 minutes, did a little food shopping and now I'm sitting at the computer and still haven't showered yet. Yep, it's pretty gross ... time to shower.

LOL! Funny thing is, I have done a similar thing and have had some good reactions. There have been times where I have run or biked in the evening and didn't wash it that night or in the morning. Instead I curled it a bit and it was more tame - less frizzy ... got quite the compliments! lol

I've been guilty of not washing my running bra often enough. It's expensive and has underwire and stuff so it can't just go in the washer, it has to be hand washed. It's gone 2, 3 even as much as 4 runs before I wash it (4 runs major P.U.) most of the time I wash it every other run. I stink but I'm proud.

I don't even think that is that gross. But I do have to wash my hair every day, it's so oily gross otherwise.

I'll still share something anyway. I live solo so at home I follow the "If it's yellow, let it mellow. If it's brown, flush it down" rule. It just seems wasteful otherwise. The only hiccup is when people come over and they use my bathroom - oops.

My hair only gets washed 2-3 times a week at the most. I know it is time to wash when my part starts to hurt. I'll even extend the dirty hair by sprinkling in some baby poweder and brushing it through, absorbs the oil and makes me hair super soft.

when I need more sleep, I will embrace gross and not wash my hair.

I found some great dry shampoo spray, my hair has more body and is easier to style when I don't wash it and use the dry shampoo!
