Lessons In Cabo

Things I've learned so far

* Tequila drinking does not count as cross training
* Remembering Spanish is not like "riding a bike"
* Wealthy people dress much nicer than me
* Chips and guacamole does not count as a balanced diet
* Eating like crap makes me feel like crap
* My pants are tight

Es Todo.
Gracias.

I can't believe it -- I'm the FIRST to comment? Guess the early bird DOES get the worm, or comment, or something like that.

Now you got me craving margaritas and chips!

(I just realized you probably haven't checked your email yet. I'm probably the bazillionth comment; you just haven't had the chance to approve them yet!) Still craving a margarita though!

Ooooohhhh, chips and guacomole, I could TOTALLY live on them!!! Don't worry about your pants, once you hit Bikram and sweat out all the chips and tequilla you'll be back to normal!

At least your pants aren't FULL. That would be really embarrassing.

Awww, poor little Jessica, all alone in Cabo, eating good food, drinking tequilia, and watching her personal butler fold her clothes.....

And we should feel sorry for you?

I THINK NOT!

(j/k, you know, hurry home)

Oooooooh Tequilla!

Hope your trip is going well. It is always so hard to stay on track while away from your normal routine. BUT you will be back home soon.

I totally agree with #5...why do I eat crap when I know it's going to make me feel horrible!??!! (Umm....b/c it tastes sooooo good going down??!!)

Me, Tequilla and Mexico do not have a good history. Have fun.

chips are made from corn
corn = vegetable

guacamole is made from avocados

avocados = fruit

How is that not a balanced diet?

It will melt off girly, no worries ;-). Enjoy Mexico!

I tried the guacamole, margarita diet last week. It made my pants tight, too. :(

haha, don't worry - its only for a smashing few days - then you'll be back into your routine! Enjoy the chips and guac while you're there - they are probably more authentic and yummy than home!

Tequila drinking's not cross training? Maybe you're not doing it properly ... you should give it another try. ;-0

sounds like a yummy diet to me!!!

Gazelle, I love your math!!!

P.O.M, You have so made me crave avocado, I just like it cut up with salt though...sounds like you are having fun,don't beat yourself up though. Tomorrow...new day...new choices, its all about balance right??? Take care and be safe.

The only Spanish I know is something like Yo tienga la cacita, which I was told means, I have a little house??? Not sure how far that would get me!!!

Just reading the word "tequila" makes me feel a little nauseous.

All of these are quite quite valuable. Too bad we keep re-learning them. Hope you are having a blast. :D

It's just for one week. You'll turn things around when you get back.

Have fun!

Mmmmmm...guacamole.....

Hey, thanks for the well wishes a few weeks back. We're hanging in there, getting back to "normal".

Just tying to get motivated on the running front again. You know how that is.

Sounds like you're doing great. Cabo, huh? Lucky girl.

Heather said...

MMMMMMMMMMM Guacamole! That sounds so tasty.

Marcy said...

No no. Wealthy people do not dress nicer than you, their clothes just cost more and they probably still don't look as fly as you ;-)

Marci said...

What do you mean Gucamole and chips don't count???!! This is my favourite late night snack, and likely why I can't shake these 10 pounds!

Aka Alice said...

Don't forget, "Donde esta' los banos?"* and when you're out on the town (w/the tequilla and the guacamole)

*"Where is the restroom?"

Tina Mickelson said...

ummm you just shot down my favorite cross training. Lifting my HUGE ASS margarita to my lips every few minutes. I swear my arms are getting bigger. That has to qualify as cross training. It does not count for shot glasses though, sorry.

p.o.m. i didn't know your name is Jessica! Now i do!! Sounds like your having a blast!!!

Tequila is good stuff!!!

I would like to propose that from now on, tequila DOES count as cross training.
