Picking up the Pieces

Thank you everyone for all your kind words over the weekend.
I would peak on my cell phone to see a message from one of you. It definitely cheered me up.

I spent a lot of time this weekend with friends - lots of friends.
I went out dancing Friday night to LMFAO - LOVE these guys!
I had brunches and lunches and dinners.
We got pedicures and walked on the beach.
My friends are awesome.

I have to be honest, I am feeling ok about things.
Not great, but better.

glad you are doing better! wine & dancing are great healers (well, actually dancing causes a lot of injuries, both emotionally & physically, for me). :)

Good to hear you dealing with this in such a healthy way! If it were me, six months from now, I'd still be drunk.

Good girl :) We let them have too much power - it's so exhausting trying to get it back. Blessings!

Sorry its still hard... but dancing, pedicure and beaches go a long, long way..

I heartily agree with the dancing prescription. I always try to do things that remind me that there are men who find me attractive, even if it's in "bar mode" and I'm not that interested in them. Reminds me that even in the midst of crappiness, I have other options-- as do you.

p.s. Note to self: must get pedicure.

Sounds like you're doing well... so glad to hear it. Wish I lived closer to partake in the dancing/drinking/hanging out with the girls phase.

And, if all else fails, I learned a valuable lesson from my mom when a boy broke my heart in high school... have an ice cream sundae with your mother. :)

Thinking of you...
