Twenty Seven Down

We are 27 days into the new year and I have not done ONE thing about my measly resolution.
I was going to broaden my horizons. Instead I've actually limited them.
No WONDER I've been so melancholy.

So I'm starting over, starting today. Because I can.

I went for a short run this morning to test my calf. The news does not seem to be too good. But I'm still running the race on Sunday.

After work I am going to the market to get a bunch of healthy stuff. Then I'm going to pick up the phone and call 2 girlfriends that I have been neglecting.

I am stepping out of my comfort zone and most likely going to the race this weekend alone. I'll meet some cool blogger peeps.

And the last resolution was to date. I don't know if I'll ever really be ready, but I need to get out there. So I'm putting it out in the universe - Mr Wonderful, I'm waiting :)

There is always hope, right?

It's fine, it is still 2009, you have all year to implement your resolutions! And it is still January and you are thinking about them. I can't even remember if I made any or what the deal was. I have to go look.
Good luck on your run. I hope that your calf rests up a little this week and is fine for Sun! There are a bunch of days in between!

nothing wrong with a second try. Give the bike a chance. it can really help balance out a calf problem.

At least you're still thinking about your resolutions. A lot of people that make them aren't at this point.

I'd say mix in some biking, maybe it will help..

You can start over whenever you want! That's the glory of being in charge of your own life. Congrats!

Hope the calf gets better!

I make new resolutions every few weeks. For example, this weeks is the complete the actual training schedule for Marathon #2 in the order it is supposed to be. Umm...check back in a week. :)

I don't think there is ever a bad time to start over...refreshed and with renewed motivation to reach a goal/goals.

Wish I could be there running along with ya! Be careful with that calf...don't want to create long term problems.

So you're saying the dude at the gas station wasn't Mr. Wonderful? Have all the chick flicks been lying to me?

Good luck with all the broadening.

Yay for starting over. I'll consider today your January 1, then. :-)

Get on the resolution wagon - it doesn't matter how often you fall off, you just have to get back on again..

Everyday is New Years Day! Why limit yourself to 1 day - You go girl!

No shame in hitting the reset button. Good luck on Sunday, but be careful not to hurt yourself any further.

You're still in January, so it's still early in the year. I have resolutions left over from last year that still haven't been completed.

That's great that you're doing this- we can always start over (and there IS always hope!) Especially have fun stepping outside of your comfort zone.

BTW, let me know how that arnica gel works. I don't even know where to find that around here. LOL.

I think you can start over when ever you want. You don't need a new year to tell you. Go for it.

Yes you can start over when ever you like. It is always best you caught in Jan before it is like Nov and wondering what happened. Hmmm I should listen to my own comment.

Sorry about the calf, maybe pre race I will do a Mr Myagi on it.

Going somewhere alone can be super intimidating - but you have a big personality - I'm sure you'll hold your own at your race!! Good luck

Just want to echo everyone else - it's never too late for a fresh start! I usually do races on my own.. you'll have a blast, especially if there will be other bloggers there!

oh no! I was hoping Bikram would do the trick! Maybe a couple of days of rest will help? Hopefully, we will run into each other Sunday. I'm wearing my purple running pants, so I'll be hard to miss! :)

I'm so with Marcy. You don't need it to be Jan. 1 to start on your resolutions!
