Next on the Agenda

Thanks for all your kind words yesterday. I'm feeling more like myself. I got to bed early (the wine helped) and actually slept! Then I woke up early and got my run in! Yeah. I need my routine. My routine is #2 but it keeps me semi-sane. (And Jess, blogging is also #2 for me.)

So I'm back peeps.
I also picked my next race...

This will be my 3rd year running it, which makes me a Legacy Runner.
How flippin' sweet is that?

Also, some coolio peeps will be running it!!!
  • My aunt - her first half marathon EVAH!
  • My friend Dr. Dev.
  • Miss Vivarella - Like I think she is running it but like she hasn't posted much about it lately. But since I'm saying it on my blog - it must be true. Like no turning back now, for sure, totally!
  • The Chic Runner
  • WHO ELSE??????? Come on peeps - they have a killer BEER tent after party.

I am going to try to get a couple more girlfriends to run it, but we shall see. The ONLY downside is that I won't be in my tip top training mode. I have a 2 week long business trip out of the country in January. I will be 100% responsible for a 600+ person/2 week event. I don't see much time for training over those 2 weeks. BUT I will run it anyways and just hope "less is more" strategy works again.

Oh I'm running it! :) Yay! I am going to sign up soon, so that then I will complete the "California Dreamin'" Series in a year and get the cool medal.

I only run for the run stuff :)

Now tell me about this race! I want more info!

Cool race. By chance, will your foreign business trip be taking you to my neck of the woods?

yay for the morning run! I'd love to come do the half with you - but unfortunately I can't. If only it was the end of Feb instead of the beginning....

I'm so jealous of all the beautiful places you get to run :( I moved here two years ago from San Luis Obispo and miss it terribly. So not running it, but wishing I was!

Ooh tempting.. I do like races on Superbowl Sunday! Hopefully it doesn't rain like crazy like last year. I think I did a half the same day and I was drenched.

I was just down in your neck-o-the-woods last weekend and had SOOO much fun I'm already planning my return! I may have to join you for Surf City! Sounds like a fun run!

YAY! Just did my FIRST 1/2 marathon on Sunday, and am considering signing up for another in March (Virginia Beach's Shamrock 1/2 marathon).
Wish I could do this one but am on the wrong coast. *sigh*

How fun your Aunt is going to run the race too! We took a drive through Huntington Beach last week. I am sure it will be a nice race.

have fun. I did that race once. It was great. Enjoy it. It's awesome you've got family running it too.

Oooohhh POM, I am totally temtped for the Half!!! I was just talking about wanting to get out to California again and how cool it would be to run there....that could be awesome!

It does sound like a fun race, but travel to Cali from FL is nearly as expensive as going to Europe from here. Sorry.

I so would love to run this but sadly with my job I can't take extended vacations during the legislative session (every other year Jan - June). We're already going to Phoenix for the Arizona marathon so two vacays in two months, probably a no-no.

I was serious in my other comment though, about coming up with a fun destination race for next fall and have a blogger meetup marathon!

p.o.m this is tempting!! I would love to run a half with you, although i think your way faster than i am!!! But, still running a half in Huntington Beach, CA is sooo tempting!!!

That sounds great! It's really good to have a goal after the marathon is over. That's when I usually get marathon blues!

I seriously need to move to the West Coast. This let down over here on the East side is such a bummer....no more races for me until next Spring!

That looks like a great course. I am targeting a Calfornia race, but that may be too far down the coast, still looks amazing though. I am guessing it is flat because its on the coast?

I was totally going to sign up- its been on my list. But I am going to run Austin as a full on the 15th- so that might be a bit of overkill.

Yes, I am going to suck it up and run my first full marathon evah!!! You have inspired me to push past my lameness into the world of real endurance running.

That is if I don't die from the Nike half this weekend....

I went to my site meter and the numberos are way up. So I am like wazup with all this. POM mentioned me on the blog there you go..hehehe!

Oh hells yea I will be there planning for a super fun weekend and oh yo like 13 miles mixed in it some how. LOL! You see even talking about Cali gets me started on the urgent not important use of the word like.
I am also stuck on the 3 of urget but not improtant as well even falling behind of urgent/important.

I just almost peed at you blocking the high beams on your race shot. HAHAHA!

Ooo! that sounds like a fun marathon...I'm trying to pick a good one in Cali for my first one. I'm not sure I'll be ready by Feb though...I can run 10 miles now...could I be up to 26 in 3.5 months?

Billy said...

Barring injury - I'll be running the half/full!

Like Danica, the 'California Dreamin' medal + jacket is mine after this one!
