Updates

A couple people have asked about my healthy Mexican casserole. Well, I will most def not post the recipe that I made up because it was not so good. I guess some things you just can't make too healthy. One word use to describe my dish was "slimy." So if you're still interested in a slimy dinner, then hit me up.

Sometimes I wonder why I bother.
I'm in a serious whoa-is-me mood right now.
I'm so happy 2008 is over.
I hope I can really make some changes to make 2009 better. I'm still pondering this and will most likely post my 2009 thoughts tomorrow.

Taking a quick look back, let's see what my 08 goals were and how I did:

1. No drinking for 2 weeks starting today. (Yea, that didn't happen)
2. Run 20 miles a week minimum. (I almost made it - I averaged about 17 miles per week)
3. Get to 135 and stay there. (Yep.)
A. Buy a scale. (Done)
B. Don't be crazy. (Well, you be the judge. I'm guessing 'crazy' is just my nature)
4. Run Half Marathon in Feb and at least 3 other races this year. (One per quarter perhaps)
(I didn't run one per quarter, but I did 2 half marathons, a 5k and a kick ass full marathon).

Overall, not to shabby. I guess.
I sure hope I can get out of work early to hit up yoga.
I'm in need of a serious attitude adjustment.

I hear ya. I am feeling the blah humbugs big time right now.

I must say I'm mighty impressed by your kickassedness though. You made 2008 your bitch. ;)

Too bad we don't live closer together. We'd need to hit up some hotspots and have a mega flirtfest with the gents...

Very impressive year, especially health and fitness wise. I can't wait to hear what is in store for the coming year. Happy New Year POM!

I think your year looked pretty darn good. Methinks you're being a tad bit hard on yourself.

I highly recommond a good sweaty yoga session or a high intensity run at the fastest speed you can fathom for that attitude adjustment. I tend to need one of those at least once a week - a high heartrate cardio session normally does the trick.

Here's to a healthier and even happier 2009...

Nice list.. I am way in need of an attitude adjustment.... sigh... hope yours is going well.... I have also tried to make some healthy versions of other foods with very poor results... though my latest healthy rice pudding is a keeper

I have to echo the "don't be too hard on yourself" talk going on. It's easy to get all down at the end of the year. You did AWESOMELY. I'm thinking that some yoga & a martini might be in order. :)

Amen sistah! I hear you on not feeling on the up and up. Maybe things will get better after the new year? (crossing my fingers)

Re: Attitude Adjustment. That is exactly where my post came from yesterday...my attempt at self adjusting! I've been in a slump and it sucks. You are such a positive person, it won't take you long to leave whoa-is-me in the dust!

Overall, your year doesn't sound too shabby. But I hear you, I am so ready for 08 to go buh-bye.

Have a happy New Year, girl.

I think I understand the blahs. I have them too - and can't stop vomiting all over my posts. While I do think you rocked your 2008 goals, it's hard to recognize that when you're unsatisfied with other areas. I think we need to kick THOSE asses in 2009!

I usually hold one resolution and that is to keep improving and learn from my mistakes day in and day out.

We can't enjoy and appreciate the 'good' without the 'bad' so the universe will throw some curveballs atcha every now and again. But nothing more than you can't handle.

You'll be alright chica. Chin up, keep thinking positive and you'll look back and laugh at all of this one day soon.

Accomplishing almost all your resolutions for the previous year is one kick-ass accomplishment! I always thought that new-year resolutions were meant to show people what you wanted to do, rather than what you were going to do ;-)
Very well done

Hope yoga helped you gain some perspective, you're great and 2009 will be great too!

I think you had an awesome 2008. You rocked some great races, started doing Bikram and reached your weight goal! Those are huge accomplishments and I'm sure 2009 will only get better for you!

You had an impressive running year, and you especially had a great marathon!

Sounds like you had a pretty good year! I've been saying "it's great in 08 and will be fine in 09".

You want to talk about a bad year? 2007. If you give me an email address, I'll tell you about my 2007. Gazelle knows most of the story. It's enough to make you think your 2008 was spent on a cruise ship. it's kind of a private thing, though. really rough.

So just know that all will be fine in 09 and be positive looking forward to the new year! new year's means everyone gets a clean slate. a fresh start. new ambitions, new goals, new targets, new milestones.

You still had a stellar year, especially that marathon. You rocked it. Congrats! Have a safe and happy New Year!

Nice job on the year. I couldn't do the 2 weeks of no drinking, so I don't even bother making that resolution.

I'm sure 2009 will be even better.

I'd say you did really well. No drinking for two weeks. I've only managed to do that once!

2009 will be awesome! Do you have a race schedule yet??!!!

San Diego???!!!!
