Worst Song Evah

I was trying to get into the Christmas spirit on my way home from work, since our Christmas party was last night. So, I put on KOST 103.5 (all Christmas music) and I heard quite possibly the worst song ever created.

I guess I am a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas music. I like the oldies. There is no reason for anyone to try to create a NEW Christmas song. Just re-sing the old ones damn it. And most of all, DON'T make a song depressing.
What the hell is that about?

If you're not sure what song I am referring to, kindly entertain the video below.

What Christmas song bugs the crap out of you???

Ugh. That was awful. At least the first minute of it was, I assume it didn't get any better after that. I'm with you, stick to singing the same old traditional songs.

My husband was shocked the other night when the Peanuts Christmas episode was on and I said how I could NOT stand the music in that show. Then we heard it playing in Target last night. I can't stand it for some reason. He was so bothered that he said that might be grounds for divorce. Uh oh.

Yuck!

I like the traditionals too! The one I don't like, which is odd b/c I LOVE Paul McCartney, is "Wonderful Christmastime"---it is horrible.

I listened to 0:33 of the song and had to stop. MAKE IT STOP. I'm glad I don't listen to the radio. I only listen to Beyonce Knowles these days. I'm hoping I get sick of that song soon, but thanks for the shout out in my comments. Good singles like that make me re-believe in heroes like Britney Spears.

Ha ha! This song has been around for a while I think. I can remember people singing it in church when I was in highschool. Or maybe college - home on break. But I've heard it in church! ha ha

That song was terrible...Like watvhing one of those after school shoes with the cue the tears scenes.

I kick old school on Christmas music. The only new one I like is the Mariah Carey song All I Want For Christmas, and that is kinda old too.

Anywhoo, hope you had a fun time at the party if not make up for it on Saturdays party.

Have a great weekend!

this song has been out for a while. Always makes me cry (all the way to drop the kids off at school the other morning) but yes... it is depressing and I'm not sure why its ALL over the radio waves... so people can burst into tears and run into eachother? nice...

Good lord, that was awful! I echo Viv's comment, except I also listen to Bob Rivers' parodies because I think they're festive and funny.

Not only is a crappy song, but shouldn't Rob Lowe commit Hari Kari now?

Ugh, lame! Oldies are the best.

I freakin' hate that song. - so depressing.

I think it's my least favorite Christmas song.

Although Madonna singing Santa Baby is pretty bad. It sounds forced.

OK, I got through about 3 seconds of the song and I had to shut it off.
My favorites are Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra. Ooh, and Elvis too!

There is absolutely no reason to write a Christmas song that does nothing but make people bawl. It's just torture.
(And not just write a song, but make an entire MOVIE out of it?)
