Stop The Press!

Guess who woke up early to run today...

One guess.

That's right - ME!!!

Finally. I got out there and my first thought was, "Damn why haven't I been out here all along. I love running." Duh.

I have a quick annoying story. I ran to Bloomies on my lunch break yesterday to pick up some new foundation. Went to the Bobbi Brown counter to discover that they discontinued my foundation and color. Poop. So I went to Trish McEvoy and asked the lady help me find something. She was very helpful and I am an EASY sell. Something to note: she did make a weird comment saying that I am "pretty enough." What the hell does that mean?

Moving on. Me and my "pretty enough" ass ended up spending $251.06. I love me some products but that's steep even for me. I get home after a long day and unload my goodies. I use some of it then go sit down to watch Biggest Loser. THEN it hits me...

The foundation was NOT in the bag.

Damn. Double Damn. That was the only item that I really needed and it's not in there.
I check my receipt and I was charged for it.
As soon as they open, I'll be making a phone call.
Stay tuned. (I know you're probably holding your breath with anticipation.)

Pretty enough means that you're not busted and really don't need make up. That's how I see it anyway. I hope you get your foundation.

What a drag! Now you will have to make a trip back there to fix their mistake...I hate that! And I agree w/ Christie, pretty enough means "why you buying all this make-up when you so gorgeous already?" but of course she couldn't say that or she would blow her commission. :)

At least you still had the receipt. I'm always balling those up and throwing 'em in the trash so quick that inevitably I throw one away that I later need.

Hey there! Just found your blog (looking for fellow runners). Your love of dirty martinis also snagged my attention, I admit. And yoga, wine, laughing and Eternal Sunshine. We're kindred spirits :)
Anyway, lest I sound too stalker-ish now that I said all that...just wanted to add I understand the getting back into the running and wondering what kept you from doing it sooner. Oh, and hope you get your foundation. That IS annoying! :)

Way to go on the run.

As the first boy to comment...no comment on the foundation thingy...you kind of lost me after "I ran to Bloomies on my lunch break yesterday to pick up some new foundation". Actually, I think I got lost after "I ran to Bloomies", but since you said "ran", I thought there was a running story coming, only to find out there was a foundation story instead......:))))))))))

Yaa on the run!

LMAO quick annoying story, girl I am so using that line cause that is how most of my stories are.

I wish I had a Blommies gonna have to hit that up when in cali in a few weeks. Yes I said Cali have I mentioned how stoked I am about this trip.

Anwhoo hope they don't think you are some foundation stealer and give it to ya.

I'm a total makeup whore too. Just take my wallet and give me back what you think I deserve.

Good job on the run!!

I had a similar freakout the other day about a bag of lettuce, which is maybe indicitive of our different financial situations. :D

That sucks!! :-( Hopefully they will work with you and give you another.

Why do early runners always make me feel bad about myself?

Oh, yeah, cuz I'm lazy.

I hope they'll give you another foundation!

wowie...I'm a really cheap make up gal I guess.

I know I definitely like the Lemon and Tropical bumble bar the best!

I hate when that happens...you go to a store for one item, end up with a ton of stuff and forget (or they leave out) the originial item you went to the store for...GRRR!

Hope you were able to track it down.

Great job getting out and running.
