Christmas What?

Is anyone out there procrastinating as much as I am about this whole Christmas thing?

I really suck this year. I have not a decoration up, nor a thought about my plans. I might go to my Dad's on Christmas Eve. Honestly, I'm not really looking forward to it. I feel like avoiding my family all together. In the past, I spend 50% of the day on the freeway driving from one side of the families to the next. I do it to try and make everyone happy and it doesn't work. Someones feelings always get hurt that I'm leaving. I'm just not going to do that this year.

I have only purchased 2 gifts. Only 2~ and those were online purchases. I am dreading going to any department store. I just can't deal with lines or people. I have no idea what to get anyone.

The Christmas spirit eludes me this year.

Don't even get me started on New Years. Augh!

Regarding the Booty Buster Challenge, I'm doing ok. One day is butt-kicking and the next is butt-licking. Point summary is to the left (under the booty).

You have NO idea how I can relate!? I know what's wrong with me, but I can't dig myself out of my self-pity to get in the "spirit". Christmas is usually my favorite time of the year, but this year, I don't give a shit...
Merry Freakin' Christmas :(

Oh, and thanks for the perspective of a child of divorce. Must remember to NEVER put that shit on my own kids...

The only reason I've gotten a bit into the Christmas spirit is because my roommate has wanted to put up decorations and all- otherwise I think I'd be in the same place as you.

Where's the Christmas spirit gone this year?!

Yo. I can't believe you guys agreed to drive to L.A. Hee hee. It sounds like things are going well. Cheers. Yea, I have some new fans I guess. Not as many as you.

Some guy just called me because Kim, remember her, has to get a security clearance. He kept grilling me about the times she worked at PI and I couldn't remember the dates. ahhh

I'm so glad you posted this. Now I know it's just not me. If it weren't for the kids, I wouldn't even have the tree up.

And I thought it was being a new mom that sapped any hope of Christmas spirit...

No tree. No decorations. I've got a zillion more gifts to buy and worst of all -- packages to send to family. UGGGGGGHHHHHHHH.

I did hear this one bright shiny bit of news today: the longer you wait, the better deals you'll get. I'm heading to Macy's tomorrow to get workout clothes for Pete, the pickiest person ever to shop for. Can you feel the dread?

I'm totally with you on the driving and family time splitting. Ugh. It's my least favorite part.

I'm glad it's not just me. Hope you find your Christmas spirit soon...

I've only bought stuff for J. Everyone else has got a card. That's it.

I'm just not in the mood this year. I can't wait for 2008 to be gone.

Um - the only people getting gifts are my parents and awkward butt kissing presents to my bosses. Which irritates me.

I'm with ya, P.O.M. No shopping yet. Either it's dealing with the masses this weekend or...gift cards for all!

I am the same way. Luckily, Matt has picked up the slack this week. I hope all my cookie baking this week will help me out.

This year our girls have finally really gotten to enjoy everything christmas. it's pulled me into the spirit for sure. they loved decorating the tree and everything. i still haven't bought many gifts, but that will come with the deadline.

That's a shame that you spend so much time traveling on the holiday and not enjoying yourself. Take a year and do what makes YOU happy. It sure doesn't feel like Christmas is in a week.

yup christmas is always a struggle with my hubs fam because they want us to spend a million hours on the road to see them and really don't give a rats ass about me seeing my family. oh well that's why i give them coal for christmas.

Christmas seems to lose a little bit of it's "spirit" each year that I get older....I'll do the usual, go to my parents on Christmas Eve, sleep over and open presents there. We'll hang out all day, then I'll go home....alone, and maybe go our for a movie. As for New Years, I decided to go to Baltimore and get together with my friends there. POM - You're more than welcome to join in, and you could run the New Years Day Resolution Run which they hold at 2pm (enough time to recover from the hangover)!

I bought my first present yesterday....online. This week is going to be an unpleasant shopping hysteria mess.

Gah, don't even get me started on Christmas shopping... I'm an online shopper and I haven't even started that!

I did send out all my gifts already, but since no one is getting anything but homemade stuff, I had very little shopping to do.

I just have to get the architect something now......

To be honest, when I was out shopping there weren't any lines...it was actually kind of depressing. Not a lot of holiday cheer around here, especially given the rising unemployment rate!

I am done shopping but really felt the lack of holiday cheer this year. Normally, I love the holidays, I love decorating and wrapping presents and spending time with fam. This year, I'd love to jet off to Mexico or something.

I always procrastinate every year for gift shopping and this year is no different! But I really hope to get my act together this weekend and attach the mall!!

I finally bough three presents today...the 17th of December. I'm so screwed. I haven't put up a light, a tree, a bulb, not so much as a piece of tinsel graces my home currently. That probably isn't going to change in the next 7 days. A friend and I decided to run away from home for Christmas. We'll be skiing and gambling and drinking and happy.

I totally understand. Luckily most of our shopping is done, because the Hubs is all over it like white on rice. Unfortunately, I still haven't bought his present yet.

I have put up zero decorations, though, and haven't wrapped anything. Aye Carumba!

Sorry about all the driving and guilt trips. Hopefully you'll figure out something. = )

Oh, and P.S. sorry I missed your birthday. I hope it was fabulous!! You don't even look a minute older.
