So Far From Where I've Been

I had a convo with The Captain last night (remember he lives very close to me). And it just really got me down again. I don't know why getting over this break up is so hard for me. Well, actually I do know why. I really thought I was where I wanted to be with him. I really thought he was the one. Last night he told me that he is much happier NOW - ouch. I guess I really shouldn't care. I think am actually getting to a place where I realize that I want more than what the Captain had to offer me. Hello - ANVIL - HEAD. Having a rebounder really helps. I know it's probably not what you're 'supposed' to do, but F it. It works for me.

In other awesomeness news, the dance party in the hotel room must have paid off. I am at my lowest weight evah. evah evah. Seriously people, we danced for like 4 hours. I highly recommend adding dance parties in your living room to your workout routine. Spice it up by dancing in lingerie and on furniture. End tables work nicely as small stages, as do coffee tables, if they are sturdy enough. I also suggest that you pre-plan your playlist so you don't have to stop to change the song if a lame one comes on.

Going to Bikram tonight and I canNOT flippin' wait. It's been over a week and my body is screaming for some HEAT!

Sorry about the Captain, but frikin' sweet on the weight. Have fun at yoga!

It'll take time, but you'll get over him eventually. Try not to beat yourself up about it.

I will consider this dancing thing you speak of, though the choice of attire will depend if it's a party of one or more. ;)

I met my husband while dancing on a coffee table, so I ratify what you are saying.

That effin' buttmunch. The Captain needs to set sail on the high seas, never to return. He said he's so much happier now? Well, la-ti-da! Good for him. Grrrr.....

Rebound the hell out of The Aggressor. Speaking of which, you were saying something about your body screaming for some heat? Ahem, I'm just sayin'....

Congrats on your lowest number evah!

I'd like to give the Captain a piece of my mind...but then ya know I may wind up in anger management or some crap like that LOL!

You have all the fun in the world with the new guy! And I'm seriously jealous of your dance partay...it sounds like a blast!

You so earned that low - Effin' ROCK ON!

Wholeheartedly agree on the happy pants dance, it's also the best way to shimmy that loozer right out of your head!

Life is like Coke. Sure it's good with a little Captain... but it's sooo much better with Stoli Vanil.

Do they make diet life, this one is making me fat?

Congrats on your uber-low number! Wahooooooie!!!

Now on to more saucy topics.... YOU know why this break-up is difficult. Becuase you're still in touch. Because you're still 'friends'. Seriously girl.. cut it off and not only will he want you so bad he'll pant when he hears your name, but you'll get over him SO MUCH SOONER.

Glad you had an awesome girls weekend!!

Sorry to hear about The Captain. But I'm proud of you.

And I'll bring up dancing in lingerie and on furniture to my wife tonight, but she doesn't like to see me in her bras....

I think you are handling it well. Rebounds are what I thought you are supposed to do. LOL! I mean you have been partying like a rock star and looking like you should be the girlfriend to one - the big poofy hair. 129 are you for realz?! who said people gain weight during marathon training....

One of my friends and I always say we need to be more like cats. If someone doesn't want to be around a cat, the cat would never feel bad-- she'd just say "Um, what's YOUR problem for not wanting to be around ME? Truly there must be something wrong with YOU, because I'm fabulous and anyone in their right mind would want to be with me."

Sometimes it works.

Hang in there.

p.s. Dancing is the best. Always.

Awesome news about the weight..that must have lightened your spirits a little. Sorry to hear about the Captain. Sometimes these boys take longer to leave than others. Soon it will not hurt so much and, eventually, not at all. Enjoy your Bikram!

I'm sorry chica :-/ But I've gotta agree with Victoria. It has nothing to do with you and everything to do with him. You are fabulous ;-)

Sorry to hear about your convo with the captain. I'm going through a lil break up thing now too. I know it sucks, but hang in there.

As far as dancing goes, it's the best, most fun exercise. I could dance all day and night.

Nice job on the weight!! I gotta get me a coffee table! Sorry the Captain got you down though:(

Whats your secret to the weight loss? Way to go!

Breakups are hard...your song of the day shoulda been "breakin' up is hard to do." Remember when the 90210 girls sang that in their black dresses with evil Emily Valentine? (Or am I the only 90210 nerd around here?)

Awesome on the weight. You were just complaining about maintaining and look at you now miss skinny!

Good for you to be in this new 'place'! I think I know how you feel... I know of a relationship that's not good for me, and I deserve better! But that doesn't stop me from wanting that one back, too. Crazy, huh?

Random dance parties are the best!! (Grey's Anatomy, anyone?)

shoo girl! you were dating a Captain? as in a Captain who flies airplanes? GIRL! I dated one for 3 years! should have met you earlier-I would have told you to run the opposite way and fast! :(

If the Captain is so much happier without you, then isn't it time he sailed off into the sunset?

I've been where you are, and I know how hard it is, but you have to refuse to talk to him if it's going to cause you such pain. It's not worth it, and neither is he!

Just proves what kind of a jerk he really is, him saying that to you...what a freakin' asshat!
Lemme at him - he deserves a shot to the head....

But on to other things - congrats on the lowest weight evah! I'm green with envy....

I try to believe there is a plan for all of us and that is what guides what happens, but who knows. It takes time, anyways.

The dance party sounds awesome. I should do it.
