Retraction

Apparently God isn't trying to sabotage me after all, so I must formally retract that statement in my previous blog.

I got off work early and was heading to the dreadmill at the gym when I realized that the skies were temporarily clear. So I drove straight home, put on my running gear and hit the pavement. The first half was sweet (wind at my back) and I was crankin' a 9 min/mile. The way back was a little rough and I dropped back to a 10 min/mile. All in all, I got in 4 miles OUTSIDE with no rain in about 38 mins.

Yeah! If things go as planned, I will reach my 20 mile week goal!

I found you off of Where is Tigerlilly. I'm a wannabe runner. I used to run a little, and by a little, I mean like 5 miles a week, but lately is been even worse. I'm trying to get back on the wagon. I think you are awesome and I am in awe of people who can run like that. Even if it's on a treadmill.

Yeah!! I'm glad you got your run in!!

As for the whole M&M v.s. Carbs debate... I am totally with you. I KNOW I'm going to want dessert, so I cut out calories and carbs so that I dont feel THAT bad about eating them. Tell the Captain that he is out numbered on this one!!

I am going to try to beat the rain tomorrow. Keep it over there a few more days, will ya? Glad you got your run done!

Congrats on getting an outdoor run in. It has been beautiful and sunny, but cold (20s -30s) all week. I wanted to run outside, but could never get away from work before dark. After dark it is just freakin' cold, and besides, I need the treadmill to help me keep track of my training speed for intervals and tempo. I could run my 15 outside tomorrow, but they keep forecasting snow.

Just got back into LA tonight...it was snowing in the hills but much less than you had rain here! Hopefully the weekend will perk up?

Don't know about you, but now that we have real weather for a stretch, it's getting annoying trying to play it by the forecasters' calls. Rain when it should be sunny, sun when it's supposed to be pouring. Almost makes you want to go back to those hot, high-wind warning days....almost.

Nice. Reverse sabotage is great.

Did it. Did you? In fact - did 14. 1 mile run, 1 minute walk - I know I know but it worked for me today and wouldn't have done 14 without it. Let me know how you did!

And nice work on the 4 yesterday - well done!

You rock! This sucky weather has my training program at a standstill. I did sneak in a 3 mile run this morning (under cloudy skies).

Yay for clear skies!
